Free Dark Web Email Scan: Is Your Work Email Exposed?

Type in an email address and we’ll check it against the known data breaches — the leaks that end up traded and sold. Takes about five seconds. Nothing is stored unless you ask us to follow up.

The address is checked against LeakCheck’s breach index and the answer shown to you. We don’t keep it.

What does a dark web email scan actually check?

It looks your address up in an index of known data breaches — leaked customer databases from companies that were hacked. If the address is in one, you see which breach, roughly when, and what kind of data went with it: passwords, phone numbers, home addresses. It does not search live criminal markets, and it never shows you the leaked data itself.

My email came back in a breach. What should I do?

Change the password on any account that used the same one, starting with email and banking, and turn on two-step sign-in. If a password was in the leak, assume it is known. If only a phone number or address leaked, expect more convincing scam calls and texts and treat unexpected ones with suspicion. Our leaked password check tells you whether a specific password is already out there.

Can someone send email pretending to be my business?

A leaked address is one problem; a spoofable domain is another. If your domain is missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC, anyone can send mail that looks like it came from you. Our free email spoofing check shows you in ten seconds. If you would rather have it all handled, that is part of our managed IT services.
