What we do on site is the part that needs hands: decommissioning the old server, sorting out the network it left behind, and being in the building on cutover day if your team wants someone there.
What Does Cloud Migration Look Like for a Florida Small Business?
For most small businesses it is not one big move. It is email to Microsoft 365 first, because that is where the daily pain is, then file shares to SharePoint or OneDrive, then whatever line-of-business application is pinning you to the old server. Each of those is a discrete project with its own cutover, which is why a migration can start small and still finish completely.
The four steps on this page are the same whether you have eight people or eighty. What changes is how long step one takes — a business with one server and a shared drive gets assessed in an afternoon; one with a line-of-business app nobody has patched since 2019 takes longer, and that is the part worth being honest about before anyone quotes you.
Which Part of Our Setup Should Move First?
Start with whatever is closest to failing. If the server in the closet is over five years old, or nobody can tell you with certainty that the backups restore, that is the thing to move — not the thing that is merely inconvenient. If the hardware is sound and the real complaint is that people cannot work from home, email and files come first and the server can wait for its refresh date.

Cloud Migration FAQ
Depends on complexity. A simple email migration takes 1-2 weeks. A full server-to-Azure migration with multiple applications typically takes 4-8 weeks. We provide exact timelines during assessment.
Our goal is always zero downtime. We use phased migration with parallel running periods. Email migrations happen in the background. Server migrations are scheduled during off-hours with rollback plans.
We quote a fixed project price after the assessment, so the number is for your actual environment rather than a range copied from an article. What moves it: how many mailboxes and how much data are moving, whether servers and line-of-business applications are in scope, and how much has to be repaired in the current setup before anything can move safely. The assessment is where that gets established, and the price we give afterwards is the price.
We assess every application for cloud compatibility. Most modern apps work natively in the cloud. Legacy apps that require Windows Server can run on Azure Virtual Desktop or Azure VMs.
Cloud infrastructure from Microsoft Azure or AWS is significantly more secure than a server in your office. Enterprise-grade physical security, encryption at rest and in transit, and compliance certifications (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI) included.
